SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) is a protocol used to exchange structured information between systems over a network. It is based on XML and provides a way for applications to communicate using standard messaging formats. What is SOAP?

  2. Transactional Systems: SOAP supports ACID (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability) properties, making it ideal for applications that require guaranteed message delivery, such as financial transactions, stock trading systems, and order processing systems.
  3. Systems with Complex Security Requirements: SOAP has built-in security standards like WS-Security for message encryption, integrity, and authentication.
